Fabrice Carstens completed an intensive welding training programme in Uganda last year. It was organised by the Koblenz Chamber of Skilled Crafts as part of a vocational training partnership and with the support of sequa GmbH. In collaboration with St. Joseph's Technical College and the USSIA association, the aim of the training was to teach advanced welding techniques, in particular TIG welding, as well as the basics of metalworking and occupational health and safety.
Over the course of two weeks, 15 participants from different regions of Uganda worked on practical projects to hone their welding skills and develop the workshop's infrastructure, including the construction of welding booths and a materials store. The focus was on a 'training of trainers' approach to enable the participants to pass on their knowledge and improve the training in the long term.
Thanks to the work of Fabrice Carstens, we are gaining exciting insights into his important work, which not only promotes local skills but also significantly improves safety standards in the workshops. We are delighted with the positive results that Fabrice has achieved through his dedicated work.
Thank you, dear Fabrice, for your tireless efforts in the field!
