EWM at Blechexpo

Welding technology in a new dimension

Custom complete solutions for automated welding production and innovative products for aluminium welding – EWM AG will show off the latest welding technology for trade and industry at Blechexpo 2019 from 5–8 November 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany. The full-service provider for arc welding technology will be at stand 7511 in hall 7 to present its pioneering robot applications. The new Titan XQ 400 AC puls will be another highlight. This specialist aluminium welding machine represents a quantum leap in welding technology, allowing for clean, safe connections even when working with extremely thin sheets. Trade fair goers will also get the chance to see live demonstrations of the new high-performance, energy-efficient, low-emission Titan-XQ welding processes on offer by EWM.

From robot cells to co-bots – EWM AG will use the trade fair to highlight its skills in welding automation. As an entry-level solution, collaborative robots (co-bots) by EWM make automated MIG/MAG welding and much more possible. EWM also offers a co-bot solution for stud welding with automated stud guidance. This solution can be integrated into any existing automation system. Our extensive automation range also includes compact robot cells and robot teams for industrial welding production. The team solution features two industrial robots that work together: one handling robot grasps and feeds a component whilst a second robot welds. The handling robot then places the component down at a defined position. The system only requires a few clamping devices as tack-welded components can be used.

Weld seams, as pure as diamonds

With the Titan XQ 400 AC puls, Germany’s largest manufacturer of welding machines, EWM, is revolutionising MIG welding of aluminium. The new acArc puls XQ alternating current welding process improves both manual and automated welding, even when it comes to extremely thin sheets. EWM has also tailored all crucial welding process components to the high demands of aluminium welding – from the power source and wire feeder to the PM 551 W ALU welding torch that guarantees optimum results when welding aluminium. The new forced-contact tip also guarantees high arc stability and a significantly longer service life.

What’s more, EWM is also introducing the Titan XQ puls C as a compact model. The multiprocess MIG/MAG welding machine with integrated wire feeder is available as a 350 A or 400 A model, perfect for welding booths in industry, trade and training. With the EWM miniDrive it is possible to extend the action radius to up to 50 m, making the Titan XQ puls C perfect for processing larger components, too. All machine variants and controls are characterised by simple operation of all the required functions. With its innovative welding 4.0 welding management system, ewm Xnet 2.0, EWM has applied the added value of Industry 4.0 to welding production. By digitally linking planning, controlling and production operations, the modular software opens up many new opportunities for companies of all sizes to enhance their efficiency; ewm Xnet 2.0 helps to future-proof welding companies. Users benefit from increased productivity, reduced costs and quality assurance.

EWM presence in southern Germany

In addition to attending Blechexpo 2019, EWM has a large presence across southern Germany with its locations in Neu-Ulm, Tettnang, Singen and Stuttgart, offering its customers in Baden-Wuerttemberg an extensive service network. Customers benefit from short distances and quick responsiveness when it comes to service and deliveries.
