Versatility and wide reach

EWM Titan XQ puls series features new compact Titan XQ puls

Versatility and wide reach

EWM AG is expanding its Titan XQ puls series with its compact MIG/MAG multi-process welding machine: Titan XQ puls C with integrated wire feeder is available as either a 350 A or 400 A version, and is perfect for welding booths in industry, trade and training. It is also ideal for work on large components thanks to the machine’s action radius of up to 30 metres. This is made possible by the optional miniDrive. With the new PM function torches, welders can set parameters at their workstation and even have the option to select welding tasks according to a welding sequence plan.

The new Titan XQ puls C is the ideal MIG/MAG multi-process welding machine for all pulse, standard and innovative welding processes. As is always the case with EWM, they are all included as standard. Just like the decompact design of the Titan XQ puls series, the compact model offers excellent XQ welding features thanks to the new RCC inverter technology. With the torch hose package of up to 6.5 metres in length, the machine is particularly suitable for stationary uses, for example, in welding booths. Welding can be carried out at a distance of up to 10 metres using the EWM push/pull MT torch. When combined with a standard or function torch, the miniDrive intermediate drive increases the welding radius to as much as 30 metres.

Easily save welding tasks

There are three control variants for the new Titan XQ puls C: LP-XQ, HP-XQ and Expert XQ 2.0. The five “favourite” push-buttons on the LP-XQ control are new. Pressing these for more than several seconds will save the currently set operating point to the respective push-button. The operating point can later be recalled by pushing the button again, thus saving valuable working time for the repeated setting, for example in the case of frequently repeated welding tasks. The machine’s large storage area is also very practical for the welder.

New PM function torch

One standard torch and three function torches are available for the Titan XQ puls C. The new PM welding torch is equipped with practical LED lighting. The LED is activated automatically by movement of the torch and lights up dark patches on the workpiece. This makes welding work in otherwise unlit areas much easier. Welding torches from the PM series are available in both gas cooled and water cooled versions ranging from 220 A to 550 A. The PM function torch allows the welder to regulate the welding current and wire feed speed, correct the voltage and select programmes directly from the welding torch. The PM welding torch with RD3 X control also allows switching of welding processes. The ewm Xnet 2.1 welding management system allows the welder to select welding tasks on the welding torch according to a welding sequence plan.

eFeed saves working time

In addition to the large power unit for high duty cycles, durability and excellent welding features, a particular advantage of the new Titan XQ puls C is the eFeed wire feeder. Fast, light, automatic wire inching on four driven rolls reduce downtime. The rolls have different uses for steel, aluminium and flux cored wire as well as being wear-resistant and durable. eFeed helps achieve optimal welding results with its precision.

Innovative welding processes as standard

Alongside the long-lasting quality of all the components, the compact MIG/MAG multi-process welding machine offers a further property frequently provided by EWM: every innovative welding process is included in the series, including the forceArc XQ puls, rootArc XQ puls, coldArc XQ puls and wiredArc XQ puls process developed for the Titan XQ puls series. The new Titan XQ puls C is also suitable for welding work with flux cored wire. Special flux cored wire characteristics are integrated into the series as standard and the welding polarity can be adjusted without having to use tools. The machine is also ready for digital connectivity in the sense of Welding 4.0: the Titan XQ puls C can communicate with the ewm Xnet 2.1 welding quality management system as well as its innovative component management via a LAN and WiFi interface. The welders can also log in to and verify themselves on the machine using the Xbutton.

Individual for every application

Depending on need and the purpose of use, the client decides whether their machine should be gas or water cooled. There are also other factory settings available. Alongside the new Titan XQ puls C, EWM is offering the decompact Titan XQ puls with a separate wire feeder in the same series, the Titan XQR puls for automated robotic welding and the Titan XQ puls AC for aluminium weld seams as pure as diamonds.
