Giving successful women a strong voice. It’s a cause very close to the heart for the Rhineland-Palatinate branch of the German Women’s Council (German: Landesfrauenrat RLP), and to celebrate the council’s 30th anniversary, Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate, Malu Dreyer, was in attendance to present the award.
"It is crucial that girls experience women who are successful in their careers, representing very different life models," she said in her speech.
Last Saturday, the German Women’s Council invited many of these very successful women to make their achievements visible and to show what real #womenpower can achieve.
That’s what makes us, the entire EWM family, all the more proud of our very own CEO Susanne Szczesny-Oßing, who has been awarded the special prize in the “Successful SME Businesswoman” category. She says: “I truly believe that we can all do our part to become and remain visible. We, as women, often keep our light hidden and don’t take up space. And that means we have to step out of our comfort zones and show up. Others can’t do it for you.”
It was a great honour for us to take part in this nationwide competition and to meet so many inspiring women on site at the main sponsor Coface in Mainz!
